Blessing of St. Therese of Lisieux

May today there be peace within.

May you trust God that you are
exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite
possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you
have received, and pass on the love
that has been given to you.

May you be content knowing you
are a child of God.

Let this presence settle into your
bones, and allow your soul the
freedom to sing, dance, praise
and love.

It is there for each and every one
of us.

Bereavement Ministry is a visible sign of the parish community’s care and concern for families and individuals mourning the loss of a loved one. Parishioners assist in the planning of the liturgy for the deceased and/or attend the Mass of Christian Burial. It is greatly appreciated by those who experience the death of a loved one.

Bereavement Support Group meets to discuss the emotions of grief associated with mourning the death of a loved one. Sessions are held once or twice a year, with a new group of participants during each session, although participants may repeat the 8-week sequence if they wish. The sessions are an hour and a half, once a week for eight weeks. Whether you have lost a parent, sibling, child, spouse or a friend, you are welcome. Talking with others who have lost a loved one can be helpful, because you know you are not alone in your grief. The group tries to help each other understand, and to learn to accept loss and embrace it. Talking about one’s feelings is a powerful healing experience. Call the Parish Office for more information.
