There are numerous organizations at Little Flower that offer opportunities for involvement and fellowship for all age groups. For more information about any of these groups contact the Parish Office.
Men’s Society is open to all men of the parish age 18 and older. Optional annual dues are $5; meetings are the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Center meeting room (6:30 p.m. for summer cookouts). Some of the activities they have are a golf outing, summer cookouts, and the Men’s Appreciation Dinner. The meetings are very brief, primarily to organize the upcoming activities, followed by social camaraderie.
The Men’s Society also offers an annual Catholic Action scholarship to a Little Flower student attending Our Lady of Grace School.
DENNIS BOSSE, OFM, AWARDED MAN OF YEAR BY LF MEN'S SOCIETY
The Little Flower Church Men's Society presented its annual MAN OF THE YEAR AWARD this year to Fr. Dennis Bosse, OFM, for his service to our parish as pastoral administrator during the time of the COVID epidemic. The annual Men's Society Appreciation Dinner was held on Friday, January 7 in recognition of the contributions by the men of the parish in 2021. This year's award was presented virtually through ZOOM to Fr. Dennis, now residing in Tucson, Arizona. Presenters Rick Berling and Paul Ross noted Fr. Bosse's coming to our parish as a time of healing and growth as a community of disciples of the Lord. In their presentation, they thanked Father Bosse for his servant-leadership as our priest, his down-to-earth approachability, and his example of Franciscan simplicity. Father Bosse accepted an engraved clock as a token of the award and thanked the Men's Society for the award, their own service to the parish, and the parish's support during his recovery after having been hit by a car while jogging. He said he is doing well in Arizona and extended hospitality to visitors from LF. Click here to view the video.
Old Timers Softball Club is an organization of men, 35 years of age and older, which forms a softball team in the Catholic Old Timer’s Social League. It is a good way to get to know the men of the parish. Ball playing talent is not required!
